Bangkok Car Hire

On your trip to Thailand’s capital be sure to consider our Bangkok car hire services. It is by far the countries largest city and with its traffic congestions, intense heat and rather naughty nightlife it might not appear to offer a traveler a warm welcome but don’t be fooled as this is one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities.

Such a large and important city in the region, Bangkok is served by two airports, Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Muang Airport. Both these airports are located roughly about thirty kilometers from the city center. They are connected to the city via a train line but there are of course buses, private or minibus, shuttle buses and taxis but your best bet by far would be to employ our Bangkok car rental services and have a car ready for you at the airport as soon as you land and in order to deal with the language barrier and the particularities of Bangkok traffic you can get an English speaking driver for the car as well.

It’s important to know that a large majority of the city’s sights are concentrated on the island of Rattanakosin, the place that is referred to as the “Old City”. The city features hundreds of temples but the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun located in this area are probably the top 3.

The Grand Palace is truly grand, its grounds containing the most sacred Buddhist temple in the country, Wat Phra Kaew. This is not an average temple as it is not made of only one building nor are there any living quarters for th monks, instead it is made up of a collection of intricately decorated holy monuments and buildings. One of these buildings houses the Emerald Buddha which despite its size is regarded as being the most sacred Buddha image in Thailand.

Wat Pho is located close by and it is the home of the largest reclining Buddha image and of the famed massage school as well. You can then reach Wat Arun via ferry.

Your Grand Palace entry ticket will also give you free entry to the Dusit Palace which is situated in the European-style area in Dusit.

Other attractions are the Vimanmek Mansion which features the largest golden teakwood house in the world.

Of course there are only a few of the many attractions that Thailand’s capital has to offer and in order to see more of them you will be greatly helped by our Bangkok car hire services.
