On your next trip to Moab, make sure to employ our Moab car hire services as your main means of transportation through and around the town. The town is located in what is known as Utah’s Canyon Country being used as a gateway to the nearby Arches National Park as well as other similar attractions in the surrounding landscape.
While the town is served by an airport, the Canyonland Field Airport only has commuter service to Denver, not from so it is highly unlikely that you’ll be landing here any time soon. Similarly there’s no train station in town either, the closest you can get is in Green River. The best way of getting to Moab is by road and once you’re there, the best way of exploring the place is by car as well so that’s where our Moab car rental services come into play.
While itself not really a tourist town per se, Moab does have a couple of things to keep you entertained if you do plan on spending a few days there, but these are mostly for very outdoorsy or high activity minded individuals.
The Slickrock Bike Trail is located on the Sand Flats Road, it is one of the most famous mountain biking trails in the world.
The Mill Canyon Dinosaur Tracks require about a half of a mile hike to reach. This is where you can see Morrison Formation dinosaur fossils as well as petrified wood in a natural setting.
The Museum of Moab is a fifty year old museum and a hidden gem of the town. It can be found a little off the main street, and as you might deduce it focuses on the town’s history. Exhibits range from geology, paleontology, mining, history and anthropology, it’s a great experience.
Canoeing and rafting are also very popular activities in Moab however you can also see some very rare petroglyphs just west of town.
These are of course only a few of the things that you can see and do while in Moab, so make sure to employ our Moab car hire services in order to better explore the town and its surroundings.
