The Bush House was built just after the first settlers arrived and is now home to some of the the city’s finest art.
Downtown Salem also features the historic Reed Opera House which features an art gallery, a couple of restaurants and a few shops.
Salem is a very green city, keeping with its tradition of being the “Cherry City”, there are actual cherry trees planted all around town and there are quite a few rather large parks around the city, such as the Bush’s Pasture Park and the Salem Riverfront Park.
