Three revelations of the Detroit Auto Show 2015
Ready for a pretty tumultuous new year, the auto calendar starts this January 2015 in force: between January 12th and 25th, the Americans welcome you to a show. Therefore, in the following lines, here are three revelations of the Detroit Auto Show 2015.
NAIAS, one of the most prominent American auto shows, has a unique structure, incorporating four events in one: a media preview, a show of industrial elements, a public display and a charity event. Everything spans over a marathon of almost 2 weeks.
Here are the stars of this year’s edition of the Detroit Auto Show 2015!
The Buick Avenir concept is the manufacturer’s revelation, substituting the long-expected Cascada convertible. This long, stylish concept called Avenir (“future” in French) really makes us dream of tomorrow’s auto vehicles. The amazing thing about this car is that it has extremely simple controls, in addition to high tech touches, like inbuilt rear screen TV sets and wi-fi through 4G LTE.
Another car of the future is the 2016 Chevy Volt, designed for comfort, elegance and efficiency. With a new system fitted with two motors, efficiency is supposed to increase by 12%, while the car body is lighter by 100 pound.
The last, but certainly not least of the three revelations of the Detroit Auto Show 2015 is the shiny new Alfa Romeo 4C Spider. Painted in a strong yellow, this friendly star of 2015 is scheduled to hit the dealers’ shops this very summer. Using a 1.75-liter turbocharged engine with 4 cylinders capable of producing almost 240 hp and almost 260 lb-ft of torque, this is another typical Alfa model. It comes in a variety of colors: Alfa red, black, white, basalt grey being among them.
These models seem to pave the way to the coming year’s trends in automobiles. If this is their way of thinking, these concepts are fine by us! Meanwhile, don’t forget you can rent a car anytime you need to visit the worldwide auto shows in the calendar!
