Volvo 2015 Review
We were thinking that today you might be interested in finding out more about Volvo and maybe get a full Volvo 2015 Review.
Did you know that the history of the Swedish car manufacturer began in 1915? However, the first car to roll out of the factory and into the (inter) national market was “Jakob” (officially called Volvo OV 4), event which marked the official foundation of the enterprise on April 14th 1927 in Hisingen, Gothenburg.
Since then, Volvo Group and Volvo Cars have established themselves as one of the most reliable and dependable auto vehicle brands in the world. Primarily centered on “big cars” production and distribution (buses, trucks) and construction equipment, Volvo is also renowned for producing reliable, comfortable cars.
This being said, let’s take a moment to look into the 2015 Volvo news:
In 2015, Volvo reinvented itself – and outdid itself – with the revolutionizing Drive-E 4-cylinder engine. The models most recently updated are the S60 sedan, crossover model XC60 and the V60 wagon.
The new Drive-E engines were all designed in Sweden and benefit from a lighter, compact design with iron sleeves and an aluminum block. There are gasoline and diesel versions of the engine, both efficient and reliable.
Let’s take the S60, equipped with a T5 single-turbo of 241-hp. The engine gives a feel of smoothness and tameness and can go from 0 to 60 mph in just a bit over 6 seconds. In terms of design, the 2014 model is in line with the comfortable and spacious Volvo profile with just a touch of aggressiveness given by the new headlights and sheet metal fenders and hood.
2015 has been an exciting and productive year for Volvo and we are looking forward to what the Swedish manufacturer has in store for the coming year with anticipation. Next time, we might talk about the 2016 Volvo XC90 luxury class.
