2013 LA Auto Show will host nine world debuts

Even though it’s a bit early to start talking about this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, especially since it will be preceded by the Frankfurt Motor Show, but the people in charge of the promotion of the event know how to create buzz so early with their latest announcement.
According to the show planners, they are expecting more than fifty vehicle debuts to be unveiled in LA, while also confirming world premieres from the likes of BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche, Subaru and Volkswagen.
BMW has confirmed seven to eight debuts in total – this will include this yet-unknown global premiere. The new production models that will be shown in LA include the 1-Series GT, 2-Series Coupe & Convertible, M3 sedan, M4 Coupe, X4 Crossover, 4-Series Gran Coupe, X5M Crossover and the 4-Series Convertible – these models are expected to debut on the market within the next year or so.
Chevrolet’s world premiere might be the next-generation Colorado mid-sized truck or the also all-new Suburban and Tahoe SUVs.
Officials from LA, Ford and Mercedes-Benz have declined to comment but as far as Mercedes goes, they might be showing the V12-powered S65 AMG. The Japanese carmaker Honda has also declined to comment however, there is a good chance that they’ll show the all-new Fit and maybe a refresh of the Insight hybrid.
The Los Angeles Show has said that Mini is planning to present a strong showing with the long-awaited global introduction of a new MINI automobile. This points to either a new generation of the new hatch or one of its versions such as the Cooper S or Convertible.
On the other hand, Porsche has long confirmed the world debut of the new Macan SUV, while Volkswagen is thought to reveal the North American version of the Golf Variant, the Jetta SportWagen.
