A short description of Vietnamese beaches
Nha Trang beach
The country of Vietnam has had a rather tumultuous history, being a country defined by war, colonization and rebellion, however in recent decades it has managed to built itself as a popular tourist destination for all manner of adventure seeking tourists who are interested in SouthEastern Asian cultures, but not exclusively to them.
While the country may be a bit late to the regional beach party that has been going on for the past couple of decades, it is steadily gaining notice thanks to its more than three thousand kilometers of coastline featuring what appear to be almost infinite stretches of powdery beaches, with all the extras like hidden coves, wonderful lagoons, and nature sculpted rock formations.
Let’s talk a bit about a couple of the best beaches that the country has to offer.
Nha Trang
While many may have not heard of it, this is arguably the most popular beach in Vietnam, thrilling visitors for many years. While the town is very unlike a tourist resort, the beach is a wonderful place to go to as well as a gateway to a cluster of quieter islands.
Mui Ne
This seductive beach is bathed in the shade of swaying palms and surrounded by towering dunes, this is a place that one can get a wonderful beach-side massage from a masseur or get an in-ocean massage from the waves, it’s your choice.
Phu Quoc
This is quite possibly the most beautiful island in Vietnam featuring picturesque white-sand beaches as well as dense, almost impregnable jungle. Long Beach is for those who are looking for a more sophisticated experience, Ong Lan Beach is for the romantics and Bai Sao is for everyone.
China beach – My Khe or Cua Dai
This long stretch of sand goes by many names but is possibly the best place to ride some waves off the shores of Danang or enjoy the pleasures offered by the resorts near Hoi An.
Con Dao
This isolated group of islands have been protected from over-development by their isolated location. However considering its rapidly increasing popularity this isn’t expected to last for long, go now to enjoy the idyllic beaches and few resorts because this promises to be the next big thing.
