Hyundai Azera 2012
The specs for the 2012 Hyundai Azera have been released recently, the highlights being a more powerful engine and the best fuel economy for its class.
The Lambda II 3.3-liter GDI engine features a six-speed transmission gearbox alongside a wide array of advanced safety features coming as standard.
The Gasoline Direct Injection – GDI – 3.3 liter engine produces 293 horsepower and comes with an in-house six-speed automatic transmission; the safety features include nine standard airbags, standard VSM, ESC, TCS, ABS with Break Assist and EBD.
The model comes with Standard 18-inch alloy wheels with an option for 19-inch wheels as well as HID Xenon headlights with LED accents as well as a standard navigation system with a rearview camera.
The interior is standard leather with heated seats, Bluetooth hands-free phone system with voice recognition, Blue Link telematics platfroms, manual side window sunshades and ventilated front seats; the interior was designed to offer a lot of comfort.
Other options include Panoramic sunroof, electrochromic auto-dimming mirror with HomeLink and power read sunshade and manual rear side window shades. The driver’s seat has the option of cushion extention as well as the integration of a memory system for the seat, steering wheel and side mirrors.
Once it is launched at the beginning of next year, the Hyundai Azera will have to compete with similar models such as the Ford Taurus, the buick LaCrosse or the Nissan Maxima. As far as dimensions and size go, the Azera is somewhere between the Hyundai Sonata and the Hyundai Genesis, however when it comes to its exterior it is much more like the Sonata.
