Renault Megane R.S Red Bull Racing RB8

As part of the celebration of the third Formula One constructors’ world title, Renault and Red Bull Racing have released a new limited edition of the Megane RS Red Bull Racing RB8. The limited edition model is sporting the Red Bull colors for a second year in the row, being painted in the exclusive Crepuscule Blue color used by the Red Bull Formula 1 team.

The sports hatch also sports the Red Bull graphics on its rear and on the sides, as well as the Platinum Grey details like the F1 blade, door handle, door mirror housing and rear lip spoiler. Those of you with a bit of an eye for details will notice a monochrome laurel located on the rear side windows celebrating the 2012 Constructors’ world title.

The interior of the Megane RS Red Bull Racing RB8 will come with some very exclusive features like the Red Bull Racing branding on the numbered aluminium still guards as well as the carpet mats. The logo can also be found on the headrests of the Recaro seats, which are trimmed in new leather or fabric upholstery.

The model will come with high-performance Bridgestone tyres as standard, the same model used by the Megane Trophy which established a new lap record for the Nurburgring, being fitted to exclusive 19-inch black wheels with grey pin striping.

The equipment package that the model comes with includes an in-dash, connected R-Link multimedia tablet that takes care of six important functions: navigation, telephony, multimedia, vehicle, systems and R-Link Store applications catalogue. The model also features de 2.0 version of the RS Monitor which will bring up the special Red Bull Racing home page which is meant to be a more user-friendly and intuitive interface.

As far as the other stats go, the model is based on the Megane RS265 and it keeps its 195kW/360Nm turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, the six-speed manual transmissions as well as the limited slip front differential.
