We’re starting our proper Frankfurt Motor Show coverage with the unveiling of the Rolls Royce Celestial Phantom special edition limo. This year the luxury carmaker celebrates the car’s first decade of production as well as the success of Rolls Royce’s ‘Bespoke’ customization unit.

The Rolls Royce Celestial Phantom special edition was built as a one-off edition of the Phantom Extended Wheelbase, with its exterior features deep midnight paintwork inlayed with fine glass particles. According to the carmaker, says the car’s paintwork is meant to evoke the night sky while at the same time achieve an alluring sense of depth and light.

The Celestial Phantom also features an uplit Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet ornament as well as a uniquely engraved wheel centres.

When it comes to the interior, the Celestial Phantom uses several thousands fibre-optic lights which have been handwoven into the Phantom’s headlining meant to replicate the exact constellation of the night the first Phantom rolled off the production line on January 1st 2003. Rolls Royce has actually checked with the South Downs Planetarium to verify the authenticity of the constellation in the car.

The interior is also further trimmed in ‘Dusk’ leather, referred to as an inky hue of black and also comes with a unique version of Rolls Royce’s picnic set featuring hand-engraved glassware bearing the ‘Celestial’ motif, and Nymphenburg porcelain plates.

Now if all of these trimmings simply aren’t enough for you, the clock in the rear privacy divider of the Celestial Phantom is lined with four diamonds.

According to Rolls Royce, over 75 percent of Ghost models and almost every Phantom sold have included options available through the Bespoke service. This service is meant to ensure that the mark maintains its rightful place at the top of super-luxury companies.

Last year, the British carmaker has delivered units to all five continents last year and the past three years have seen continuous growth of the marquee.
