The new Citroen C4 Picasso

The Citroen C4 Picasso is set to become one of the most fuel efficient MPV models when the all-new generation launches later this year which will be lighter, sharper and tech-packed.
The first new Citroen C4 Picasso in six years is being billed by its manufacturer as a ‘technospace’, adopting a wedgier style than before, featuring low-set headlights integrated into the front bar and separate high-set LED daytime running lights.
The taillights are said to be modeled off the Citroen Tubik, Survolt and Revolte concept cars which are integrated into the electrically-opening tailgate.
The interior is said to look like a loft with an ‘uncluttered ambience’ with the panoramic windscreen helping with that atmosphere. The optional massage seats add to what the carmaker describes as reaching ‘business-class travel standards’ with some models featuring a removable centre console, while storage is available under both rows of seating.
The dash is graced by the presence of a massive 12-inch panoramic HD screen with a seven-inch touchscreen underneath it and new features include a 360-degree camera, auto-parking technology, active cruise control, active front seatbelts as well as the Citroen eTouch integrated emergency calling and vehicle assist technology, and many-many more, this is why they call it a “technospace”.
When you compare it to its predecessor, the new C4 Picasso is 40mm shorter, but with a larger wheelbase by 53mm and tracks extending by 82mm front and 31mm rear.
The 1.6-litre turbo-diesel engine model with 67kW, called the C4 Picasso e-HDi 90 is coupled with a six-speed automated manual gearbox and together they claim to need just 3.8L/100km, with a corresponding 98g/km CO2 emissions level.
There will be three models available and all of them will come with the possibility of a six-speed manual transmission, the six-speed automated manual is only available for the e-HDi 90 and e-HDi 115 models.
