The legends gave the place its name, it is said that in olden times Nymphs used to bathe in the local waterfalls. Once you see the place for yourself you will understand why such legends arose, the place of of great beauty indeed.
Two other attractions that can be found here are the Agriculture Co-operative where you can get sweets and liquor made out of koum-kouats and just outside the village you can visit Askitario a small but very old monastery.
