Jay Leno’s new auto show

Everybody has heard about America’s comedian, tv host, actor, writer, producer (and many others) and his love of cars, but the great news is that he is now going to exploit this, as CNBC is now preparing to produce and air Jay Leno’s new auto show.

Some thought Jay Leno had retired after he decided to leave the Tonight Show. His final show was aired on February 6th 2014, featuring the guest participation of many of his friends: Billy Crystal, Garth Brooks, Kim Kardashian, Chris Paul, Jack Black and Oprah Winfrey. But as it turned out, this is not the last of Jay Leno that we are going to see.

Leno’s love of cars is well-known and the former host of The Tonight Show and The Jay Leno Show is also a columnist for Autoweek. He also has his own website about cars, Jay Leno’s Garage, hosted on the official NBC website. Recently, CNBC produced and aired “Jay Leno’s Garage: The Ultimate Car Week”, a special program meant to somehow “test” how successful such a product could be. It turns out the results were satisfactory enough, and now there is talk of the new car-related show. Details about the profile and format of the program remain undisclosed, but The Hollywood Reporter stated the show will be aired in prime time.

In his personal life, in 2012 Leno sold his Fiat 500 for the staggering price of  $385,000, which were subsequently donated to charity. The tv producer owns an impressive collection of almost 890 vehicles (cars and motorcycles), so we can expect pretty pertinent opinions on auto issues in his much anticipated show. Meanwhile, if you are interested in assessing Leno’s expertise and style when it comes to cars, you can freely check out his videos on the Internet. He discusses various automotive issues, such as restoration and car repair, unique collection models or hybrid cars.
